Partner Organization Guide
Throughout the 2020 election cycle, Drive Your Ballot has been lucky to work with numerous partner organizations, helping to connect their voters with drivers in our system. Here’s how it works.
1. Get a partner account
Contact DYB (info@driveyourballot.com), and an administrator will create a partner account for you, send you the login information, and offer you a walk-through of the system in a Zoom demonstration.
2. Submit your voters’ ride requests
Within the DYB admin interface, you can add your clients’ requests for rides to the polls. DYB will then post these requests to our volunteer Slack, where volunteers will review the requests and claim the ones that work for them.
3. Track the progress of requests until voters’ rides are completed
The DYB admin interface is a state management system for ride requests: You can track the lifecycle of a request from posted, to assigned, to completed. You can even contact the assigned drivers if you have questions about a particular request.
More Information
To protect the safety of everyone involved in rides, DYB asks the following of its drivers:
Demonstrate eligibility by providing proof of valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance and consenting to background checks.
Sign the DYB Driver Agreement.
Read our Driver Procedures.
